SPECIAL APPLICATION MICROMETERS AND ACCESSORIES

Micrometer Ball Attachments:

  • 878 Series micrometers with 6.8mm diameter spindle or anvil
  • 879 Series fits digital with 6.35mm diameter spindle or anvil
  • Note: Ball diameter 6.5mm/0.25” shouldbe deducted from micrometer
    reading.
Tapered Flat Micrometers:
  • Flat measuring face of 2mm diameter
  • Anvil and spindle ground to give an inclusive angle of 60 degrees
  • Hardened steel measuring faces
Point Micrometers:
  • 60 degree inclusive points on anvil and spindle
  • Hardended steel measuring faces
  • Blue textured frame finish
  • Ideal for measurement of fluted articles
  • Option: carbide anvils available POA

Tapered Radii Micrometers:

  • l Anvil and spindle ground to give an inclusive angle of 60 degrees
  • Points ground to a radius of 0.75mm
  • Hardened steel measuring faces
Gear Tooth Micrometers:
  • Anvil and spindle fitted with large diameter disc
  • Hardened steel measuring faces
  • Disc diameter 19mm on 0 - 25mm and 0 - 1” models, 21mm diameter on larger models
  • Suitable for chordal measurement of gear teeth, keys, lands, ribs and fins

Plate Micrometers:

  • Anvil and spindle fitted with a 16mm diameter hardened steel plate
  • Used for the measurement of paper, card, rubber, plastic and many other
    soft materials
  • Hardened steel measuring faces
Tube Micrometers:
  • Spherical ended anvil (4mm radius) with flat spindle face
  • Hardened steel measuring faces
  • For accurate measurement of tube wall thickness
  • Minimum tube inside diameter 11.00mm

Ball Ended Micrometers:

  • Both anvil & spindle have 4mm radius ends
  • Hardened steel measuring faces
  • For accurate thickness measurement on curved surfaces

Spline Micrometers:

  • Reduced anvil and spindle diameter to facilitate accurate measurement of splined shafts, keyways and slots
  • Diameter reduced to 3mm over a 6mm length
  • Hardened steel measuring faces
